The Belvidere ( Belvedere ??
) Theatre was a very early movie house on
Belvedere Avenue, on the north side of the
street, near Reisterstown Road. Across the
street from the theatre would have been
Electric Park. I believe it might have been in
the building seen above, but being dated from
the 1910's, it is possible that the entire
structure was replaced over the years as well.
At first I through the spelling was Belvedere
for the street it was on, but after finding a
newspaper ad ( seen below ) with the correct
spelling, I'm not sure why they spelled it
with an "i" and not a "e", but I believe there
was an Estate back in the day in Baltimore
that went by the name of Belvidere.

Baltimore City Directory - 1917 Baltimore Newspaper movie
schedule - 1920 listed as " New
Belvidere", different movies all six nights (
closed Sunday )
