   I had believed we have finally found the Dentonia Theatre, located at 2nd and Main ( Main Street is now an  alley ) Checking insurance maps with current information, the building sits right near the spot of the Dentonia Theatre, but an emailer advised us the old theatre was torn down years ago . What we actaully found was the garage, that had been been next to the Dentonia, whish does appear to have been torn down. However, there was an earlier theatre in town before the Dentonia was used, on Main Street.  This buildng can be seen below.

    The Theatre is listed at 2nd and Main Streets, and so far we have found it listed from 1938 to 1952 , seating between 250 and 440 people. There was also a Palace Theatre in Town, listed in 1931 , seating , seating 350 off of South Second off of Main Street.  ( Very likely the same as listed above. )

  Could this be the earlier theatre in Denton, before the Dentonia Theatre was built ?
         In the late 1920's , there was a theatre between Second and the Franklin Market. above, and below, you'll find the collection of postcards we have gathered on the town of Denton. The postcard above shows the theatres name draped over the street, and the postcards below may actually show the theatre, but we have to complete our research to be sure.
