The Star
Theatre was one of several "Black" Theatres in the
City of Annapolis. The picture below is all I
have found ( so far ) of images of the theatre,
which was located at the intersection of Calvert and
Northwest, A drive by the intersection , where
Maryland State Government buildings are now, shows
the site to be a small parking lot, if I got my
directions straight.

...........I
didn't have a lot to work with, but from what I can
gather, the above intersection is where the
Star Theatre had been, on the far left corner of the
intersection. The picture below shows the actual spot,
now a parking lot. ................![]() ...

A block over on
Clay Street, I actually found two early "black"
theatres. One was on Washington Street near the
intersection of Clay Street. It was a very early
theatre, listed along with the Electric
Theatre.
.....................................................
...........................The
tiny early theatre would have been on your left hand
side, near the fence, in a building long since
torn down. The view is north on Washington Street just
prior to Clay Street.
